Shipping Policies

Orders are printed every morning on or about 8:30 AM Central time as well as several times during the day depending on order volume, (Monday-Saturday). Orders are processed in the order they are received. Most orders usually ship the same day, however based on volume it may be 1-2 days.

We are not permitted to ship any aerosols or flammable products overseas due to USPS, Fed Ex, and UPS shipping regulations. If you order these products to be shipped overseas, our Customer Service Department will contact you to credit you for the items and allow you to make any changes if needed.

Do not ask us to misrepresent package contents or values on customs declaration forms. We are required by law to report accurate valuation of products on the shipping paperwork. We will not violate the law.

We require a signature for delivery for all orders over $1,000

Shipping charges are calculated using current UPS, Fed EX, and USPS Rates based on size, weight, and/or value. Orders over Minimum Rate will be charged extra accordingly.

Expedited Services are available at actual costs.

DOMESTIC USA (Continental USA)

Most domestic orders are shipped UPS, Fed Ex Ground & USPS ground as requested ($10.95 Minimum). USPS Domestic Small Envelope (Ex. Hand full of parts, 7.75 Minimum), Expedited services are at actual costs.

INTERNATIONAL & ALASKA/HAWAII: USPS for Alaska, Hawaii and all countries. Expedited services are at actual costs.

Sales Tax:

Wisconsin residents will be charged the appropriate sales tax. For orders shipped outside of Wisconsin or the USA, it is the buyer’s responsibility to pay their local sales tax. Our prices do NOT include Import Duty and / or GST / VAT for shipments outside of the USA. You may need to pay these charges at the time of delivery to your "Ship To" address. You can contact your local Customs Office to determine what these rates may be.

Damaged Models:

EngineHouse Services, LLC tests and inspects each locomotive that they receive and take great pride in packing all items with the utmost care to prevent any damage. However, in the event a customer receives a model that was damaged in shipment by UPS or Fed Ex, please follow the following procedures:

  1. Notify EngineHouse Services, LLC and the carrier.
  2. Make sure you have the shipper (tracking) number. 
  3. Retain all shipping EngineHouse Services, LLC materials (carton, packing materials, etc.)

The Shipper will notify to issue a call tag at our end. The Shipper will then pick up the shipping materials, the damaged model and the box from your address. This institutes the claim settlement. We will ensure that all corrective action is performed as quickly as possible.

ALL USPS SHIPMENTS - Customer is responsible for Collecting Insurance Claims.
